Dear Mike, dear Bernard,
Thinking loud, the idea of a clinical trial to test a single dose of 300-500mg Quercitin + 30-50mg Dasatinib on ‘health’ versus placeb, on healthy aged individuals and over a year, would be quite interesting (?).
I hear that in terms of cost it would be perhaps 400$ per person for the treatment (about 800$ for those who take the treatment, not much for those who take the placebo; but every participant would pay the same whether they receive the placebo or not); and of course there would be additional costs for health measures.
The participants would need to report their health outcomes regularly on a website (and otherwise receive emails, sms, calls), starting before the treatment-or-placebo is started so perhaps over 18 months. What health measures would be needed is to be discussed as well as certainly various other things. Your knowledge could certainly help in various areas.
The paper on D+Q finds in some models that they do not kill the same senescent cells. I guess some people here and in other life extension discussion groups could be happy to be the participants.
Food for thought:) and for action or not of course. Cheers
