Dear GRG Member, Alliance for Aging Research webinar: ReFraming Aging: Understanding and Changing the Way Americans Think about Aging Tuesday, May 5, 2014 at 2pm EST Free and open to the public. Registration required here. The webinar will explore key findings from a report, Gauging Aging, which AFAR and seven of our peer national aging organizations* commissioned to explore how the public views older adults in this country. Conducted by The FrameWorks Institute, the report compares what experts say about older adults to what the public perceives to be true. There are profound differences, with deep implications for the way we need to communicate about aging services and policies. This webinar will discuss key findings and encourage dialogue to develop next steps.
- Laura Robbins, Principal at LARC (Laura A. Robbins Consulting, LLC) will provide background and context for this research.
- Susan Nall Bales, President and Nat Kendall-Taylor, Vice President for Research at The FrameWorks Institute, will provide a summary of the research’s key findings.
- The webinar will conclude with a discussion of implications and next steps.
